Several snow emergency plans initiated on peninsula

Some agencies around Delmarva are getting a head start on the snow, and imposing their snow emergency plans.

As of 11:00 AM on Thursday, Somerset and Worcester Counties have implemented the Snow Emergency Plans, according to the Maryland State Police.

Easton Police say the Town has is now under Snow Emergency Phase I, which means that cars driving in the area must have snow tires, or chains. Police are asking residents to park in driveways when possible, and avoid parking on the street.

Law enforcement across the peninsula say staying home during the snow, is the best option.
