Salisbury Zoo becomes LEED certified

The Salisbury Zoo’s Animal Health Clinic has become the first LEED Certified Building owned by the city.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. In layman’s terms, it’s environmentally friendly.

This new state-of-the-art Animal Health Clinic was built to meet industry standards and provide the Zoo with the resources to provide it’s animals with preventative and proactive medical care.

The certification was at no additional cost to taxpayers.
