Salisbury mayor gives city council Capital Improvement Plan

Monday, Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton gave city council a $1.6 million Capital Improvement Plan to move a number of critical projects forward in the city.
This plan is a proposed multi-year blueprint to fund improvements and maintenance for Salisbury’s publicly owned infrastructure.
There’s a major focus on storm water management, parking, transportation, water, and sewer systems. There are actually more than ten different paving projects planned for 2016.
Mayor Ireton says, “This is where the rubber meets the road for the city of Salisbury. These are the services we provide. It is immensely boring, but for me it is the most exciting thing that I do, because these are the services we provide.”
