Queen Anne’s Co. crash kills two, injures one

Maryland state Police are investigating a crash that left two people dead, and one hospitalized in Queen Anne’s County.
According to reports, around 7:30 PM Sunday night, a Toyota Sienna, driven by Richard Shebovsky, 25, of Chester, was driving the wrong way on Route 50, near the Kent Narrows Bridge. Shebovsky apparently collided, head on, with a Mitisubishi Lancer, driven by Sibasish Ghosh, 58, of Salisbury.
Police say Ghosh, and the passenger in his car, Shampa Ghosh, 54, also of Salisbury, died at the result of the crash. According to authorities, their remains were to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
Shebovsky was reportedly brought to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, police say Eastbound Route 50 in the area of the Kent Narrows Bridge was closed for several hours on Sunday.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but authorities say they believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. Police are asking anyone who might have witness the accident, to call Maryland State Police at 410-758-1101.
