PRMC lifts modified visitation policy

The policy for visitors is back to normal at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. There were restrictions in place for flu season.
Back in January, PRMC modified their policy to ban anyone under the age of 18 to visit patients. Along with those experiencing any flu symptoms, there was also a limit of two visitors at a time per patient, and strict monitoring in the Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby Units.
Now, PRMC is going back to allowing visitors whenever it’s most convenient for them.
However, hospital officials say while flu season is slowing down, there is still a risk. They ask anyone with cold, cough, fever or other flu-like symptoms, to stay home, and visit when they’re feeling better.
