Police looking for suspect in Dover Motel shooting

The Dover Police Department say a shooting at a Dover Motel Saturday, landed a woman in the hospital with a gun shot wound to her chest.

Police reports say officials received a call around 2:30 PM on Saturday afternoon, of a shooting inside a Motel room located at the Capital Inn in Dover. Reports say the 20-year-old victim told investigators she had about 10 unknown males insider her room, when a single shot was fired from an unknown handgun. Once that shot was fired all of the male suspects fled the Motel room before police could arrived on scene. The victim reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to her chest causing her lung to collapse. She was taken to Bay Health Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to recover from her injuries.
