Parsonsburg mobile home fire, reportedly caused by candles

A mobile home fire in Parsonsburg on Saturday has been ruled as accidental.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the flames started in the front bedroom of the 16′ x 72′ mobile home, on Rachel Lane, around 7:20 PM. Twenty firefighters from Pittsville, Parsonsburg, and Willards responded, and reportedly had the blaze under control in 15 minutes.
Investigators say they have ruled the fire as accidental, and found that is started with candles that ignited nearby combustibles. The home was apparently not equipped with smoke detectors, but there were no injuries reported.
Damages are estimated to total $7,000. The American Red Cross is reportedly assisting the occupant of the home.
