Parkside Baseball Stays Perfect, Downs Pocomoke

The Parkside baseball team remained perfect on the year after they defeated Pocomoke Tuesday afternoon 12-1. The win improves the Rams to 4-0, while the Warriors drop to 0-1.
The Warriors would jump out to the quick lead after Noah Rantz would hit into the RBI fielders choice. The Rams would would be quick to find an answer. In the bottom of the first, back to back deep doubles from Dalton Swanger and Hunter Parsons would put the Rams out in front. Pocomoke then would look to find the answer and would work to get the bases loaded, before Lucas Holmes would work out of a jam, getting the strike out. Parkside would come back in the bottom of that frame and start to pull away after a couple RBI singles. It looked like the Rams had a chance of blowing the game wide open, but Pocomoke’s center fielder Noah Brittingham made an incredible diving play to rob Parkside’s Jack Goertzen from an extra base hit. The Rams kept coming though and would eventually put the game away. Lucas Holmes would get the win while La’Bron Hilliard would finish with 2 hits.
Pocomoke returns to the field Wednesday when they travel to play Mardela, while Parkside host Bennett on Thursday.
