One wanted after armed robbery in the Dover Library parking lot

Police in Dover say they are looking for the suspect in the armed robbery robbery of two people and a baby.

Dover Police say on Sunday, two women, and an 11-month-old child were in their car in the parking lot of the Dover Library on East Loockerman Street, getting ready to get out of their vehicle, when they were approached by 30-year-old Matthew Gannon. According to the report, when Gannon walked up to the car, he pulled out a handgun, and said “this is a stick-up.”

Police say Gannon pushed the gun against the side of one of the women who was seated in the front seat, while the driver handed him her wallet from the center console. After getting the wallet, Gannon, and an unknown second suspect, apparently fled towards East Reed Street.

Gannon is now wanted on charges, including 1st degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of felony, aggravated menacing, conspiracy 2nd degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
