Onancock holds second annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The town of Onancock had some great weather Sunday to hold their second annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
Organizers of the celebration tell 47ABC this year was much bigger and better in comparison to the town’s inaugural parade in 2014.
This year the parade featured bands, bag pipes, drummers, floats, horse carts, fairies and of course you can’t forget the Saint Patty’s staple leprechauns.
47 ABC caught up with some parade goers to learn what they most look forward to on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Carissa Custis says, “I like the floats and they’re pretty.” Her grandmother Elizabeth says, “the kilts, I love the kilts and the floats,” and Carissa’s grandfather continues, “just like her I like the corn beef hash.”
