MSP seeking driver after Somerset Co. crash

Police are looking for the driver behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a Marion Station homeowner’s mailbox Sunday morning.

Authorities from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack say they responded to Tulls Corner Road around 7:49 a.m. for a reported vehicle collision.

According to police, someone driving a 1998 Red Oldsmobile was traveling on Tulls Corner Road when the driver failed to drive within the lane and struck a homeowner’s mailbox. Police say the car eventually crashed into a ditch bank.

We’re told when authorities arrived, there was no driver on the scene; however, the car is registered to 38-year-old Pedro Garcia Cano.

As of right now, it is unknown exactly what time the collision actually occurred.

Police say attempts have been made to locate the owner to investigate the cause of this collision. Anyone with information on this collision is asked to contact the MSP Princess Anne Barrack at 443-260-3700.
