Marcano’s big day pushes Wesley past Lincoln

Sophomore Nina Marcano went 5-5 at the plate with four RBIs, four runs scored and four stolen bases to lead Wesley College to a sweep over Division II Lincoln (Pa.) on Tuesday.

The Wolverines started their offensive surge in the first quarter of game one, sending 14 batters to the plate and scoring 8 runs on their way to a 13-2 slaughter rule victory in five innings.

The second game began much like the first, with Wesley jumping on the Lions out the gate. The Wolverines would score five more first-inning runs, and pour on four more in the third on their way to a 11-3 win.

The Wolverines host a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon against Briarcliffe (N.Y.), game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
