Joint operation lands alleged “major source” of drug supply behind bars

A Delaware man is now accused of operating a drug operation that stretched across state lines.
According to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department, a joint investigation with Delaware state Police landed 35 year-old Paul DeMarie III of Selbyville behind bars.
Officials say they identified DeMarie as an alleged “major source” of supply drugs in the area.
Earlier this week, DeMarie was taken into custody in West Ocean City.
Authorities say they found over 750 bags of heroin and over $1,000 in cash.
At his home in Sussex County, Officials say Delaware State Police found a handgun and various drugs including almost 4 lbs. of Marijuana and 950 bags of heroin.
In Maryland, DeMarie is facing multiple drug charges.
Charges are still pending in Delaware.
DeMarie is being held on bond.
