Increase airport travel predicted for spring

The amount of airline passengers traveling this spring is expected to be the highest it’s ever been in seven years.

This news comes from the trade group Airlines for America. The group is attributing their findings to the drop in unemployment and the increase in personal income nationwide.

The manager of the Salisbury airport says this prediction for the spring could be accurate.  The Salisbury Airport is already seeing positive signs for the spring.

Bob Bryant, Airport Manager of the Salisbury Airport says, “We’ve seen a four percent increase in passenger traffic over the first two months of 2015; that’s over the same two month period in 2014. Things are looking promising for us.”

The Salisbury airport manager says an increase in passenger activity will generate additional revenue through not only flight sales, but parking lot payments and rental car loans as well.
