Home demolished to build new “Habitat” home

A Salisbury home was demolished Tuesday, but only to make way for a new Habitat for Humanity house to take its place.

More than eighty percent of the demolished home will be recycled in an effort to avoid sending the remnants to the Wicomico County Landfill.

The Zickafoose family, whom 47ABC spoke with Monday, will be the owner’s of the Habitat House built on the lot. They currently live in Crisfield.
