Fatal pedestrian crash in Cambridge under investigation

Police are continuing to investigate a fatal pedestrian crash that happened over the weekend in Cambridge.
Cambridge Police say on Saturday, around 8:35 PM, Officers along with the Cambridge Rescue Fire Company, responded to reports of a crash at Cambridge Beltway and Stone Boundary Road.
Once on scene, Police found that Barbara Edgar of Cambridge was driving southbound on Cambridge Beltway, when she hit 27-year-old Sharda Pinder, of Cambridge. Police say Pinder was in the roadway, not in a crosswalk, at the time of the impact.
Emergency crews on scene had to work to get Pinder out from under the vehicle, before rushing her to Dorchester General Hospital. Pinter was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Cambridge Police says the Maryland State Police Accident Reconstruction Team are still investigating the incident.
