Dorchester Co. School Officials announce snow day plan

School officials in Dorchester County have announced their plan to make up school snow days this school year.
According to Officials from Dorchester County Public Schools, the plan involves converting two Professional Study Early Dismissal Days, April 22nd and May 20th, to full school days for students.
The Board of Education in Dorchester County also approved a recommendation from Superintendent Dr. Henry Wagner to request a three day waiver from the State Superintendent of Schools.
This five day plan stems from the county taking 11 snow days this winter. Dr. Wagner tells 47 ABC, the county already had five days built into the calendar, and they converted February 27th from a teacher professional day to full school day.
As of right now, Dr. Wagner says June 22nd is the last day of school.
The plan was approved by the Board of Education in Dorchester County at their meeting on Wednesday.
