DelDOT crews continuing to work to clear roadways

Transportation officials in Delaware say roads throughout the state are still snow covered, and they are working to clear them.

DelDOT says Thursday’s storm has covered roadways in the State, and although they worked all day, they are continuing to work to clear both primary, and secondary roads.

Very low temperatures, along with packed snow, and ice, is apparently making it difficult for crews to plow. Officials say once the sun comes up, along with the temperatures, clearing the roads will be easier, and their work will be more effective.

Authorities are reminding drivers to leave plenty of time to get to where they are going, as slow speed and cautious driving are necessary.
