Del. authorities investigating 2 armed robberies

Authorities are investigating a pair of armed robberies that occurred at gas stations in Newark and New Castle.
Delaware State Police says the first robbery happened at approximately 8:25 a.m. Saturday when two male suspects entered the BP gas station at 2360 Pulaski Highway in Newark. The suspects, one armed with a knife, confronted a clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of money and both suspects fled.
The second robbery happened at approximately 10:10 a.m. when a male suspect entered the Shell gas station located at 299 Christiana Road in New Castle. The suspect, who was armed with a knife, confronted an employee and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect then fled on foot.
