Decatur Girls Advance To The Regional Finals

The Stephen Decatur girls basketball team hosted Northern in the regional semi finals, which had been postponed due to snow delays.

The entire game was back-and-forth between both teams who were playing solid on both sides of the ball. It was a very intense game and the referees played a minor factor, however, many parents from Northern were not happy about the results of the game due to the refs. One parent was complaining about the refs and said the refs were the sole reason that Northern lost the game – however, the calls were being made on both sides of the ball.

Dayona Godwin had a huge game today scoring 29 points and helped her team to a victory winning 51 – 48 over Northern. Stephen Decatur girls basketball team is headed to the regional Final that will be played on Monday. Because of this win and their success in the season, Decatur will host that game on Monday night.
