Caroline Co. chicken house fire ruled accidental

A Wednesday morning chicken house fire in Denton, has been ruled as accidental.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire started just before 9:50 AM, in a 50′ x 500′ chicken house in Tuckahoe Road. After a neighbor discovered the flames, forty firefighters from Denton Volunteer Fire Company along with surrounding companies responded to the two alarm blaze, and had the blaze under control in around 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported. Officials say the fire started in the ceiling of the building, and has been ruled as accidental, after it was found to have been caused by something electrical. Damages are estimated at $25,000.
