Bennett Girls Lacrosse Roll In Season Debut

The James M. Bennett girls lacrosse team rolled to a win Wednesday afternoon in their season opener against Salisbury School 21-0. The win improves the Clippers to 1-0 on the year.

Bennett would jump out to a quick lead after Allie O’Leary found the back of the net just over 5 minutes in. Less than a minutes later, the Clippers would go up a pair after Madeleine Peters would score the first of her 3 goals on the day. Bennett continued to keep up the offensive display and quickly built up a 14-0 lead at the half. To their credit, the Dragons continued to battle, with Darla Usab giving it her all in goal. The Clippers though continued to attack. O’Leary would add 7 more scores on the day as she finished with a game high 8 goals. Keegan Marsh would add 4 scores while Dara Gregory tallied 3.

Bennett returns to action Friday when they host Wicomico high school.
