Bennett Falls To Northern To Close Out Season

The James M. Bennett boys basketball team saw their season come to an end Wednesday with a 62-50 loss to Northern.

The Clippers would jump out to a quick lead led by Barry Gaines Jr. who would slash through the lane and get to the rim for finishes. He recorded 20 points on the night as Bennett would take the lead into the second quarter. There Michael Jean-Charles got into the act, scoring from the perimeter as well as making his presence felt down low. The senior would finish the night with 16 points. But Northern would begin to battle back in the third and take the lead by the start of the 4th quarter. The Clippers continued to battle as Tykee Young would connect on a couple 3’s to keep his team close, but it wasn’t enough.
