Bayside Battle Falls Into Favor Of Bucs Over Seahawks

In a tight battle between Stephen Decatur boy’s lacrosse and Kent Island on Monday afternoon was decided by one goal, as the Buccaneers took a 10-9 decision from the host Seahawks. Decatur and Kent Island both move to 1-1 for the season.
The Seahawks took the early lead in this one, seeing Matt Le Compte find the back of the net. But the Bucs answered quickly, as Luke Fromert rolled tight around the crease for a falling shot into the left side of the net.
The game would keep going back-and-forth with Kent Island holding a 5-4 lead at the half. Through the remainder of regulation, the advantage would go no further than two goals, but the Bucs had the final answer and finish to take the victory.
The Seahawks now await for Easton on Wednesday next week, while Kent Island heads home for a big matchup tomorrow against Boys Latin School of Maryland, the 12th ranked squad in the country. First faceoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
