Air Mobility Command Museum kicks off 2015 open cockpit day

The Air Mobility Command Museum kicked off their 2015 open Cockpit day Sunday.
On an ordinary day at the museum, only two aircrafts are open to visitors. However on Sunday, hundreds of people got to see the inside of close to fourteen different military planes. Visitors were also able to see the inside of the only C-5 Galaxy in the world that’s in a museum.
The director of museum tells 47 ABC each plane has it’s own story.
Mike Leister, the museum director says, “When kids come down the hallway and take the first step into the hanger, 90 percent of the time it’s a ‘wow.’ Those kids can be 80- years- old because it’s kind of a neat place to see American history.”
Open cockpit day will be every third Saturday of every month until November.
