Accidental apartment fire in Cambridge causes $110K in damages

An apartment fire in Cambridge, has been ruled as accidental.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire started just after 1:30 AM on Monday, in the first floor kitchen of a two story building containing two apartments, on Central Avenue.

Sixty firefighters from nine area departments responded to the two alarm blaze, and had the flames under control in an hour and a half. No injuries were reported.

Investigators found that the fire was accidental, and was started by the stove. Damages are estimated at $110,000.
