18-year-old arrested for stealing neighbor’s car in Hebron

A Hebron man has been arrested, after he apparently stole his neighbor’s car.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, a Deputy took a report about a stolen vehicle on Pratt Road in Hebron. Shortly after the Deputy took the report, they apparently saw the vehicle driving nearby.

The Deputy then reportedly pulled the vehicle over, and found that the driver, 18-year-old Jacob Morris, and a neighbor of the victim, had gone into the home through an unlocked door, and took the car, all without the victim’s permission. Morris also apparently helped himself to some money while inside the victim’s home.

Morris was arrested, and charged with burglary 1st degree, motor vehicle theft, and theft. He was then transferred to the custody of Central Booking, and ordered to be held on $75,000 bond following an initial appearance.
