WiHi Clinches South, Tops Mardela

The Wicomico high school boys basketball team defeated Mardela 77-45 on Thursday night to clinch the Bayside South title. The win improves the Indians to 17-1 while the loss drops the Warriors to 4-15.

The Indians would jump out to a quick lead, scoring at will in the first quarter. The lead continued to grow in the second quarter and by half Wihi had the game well in hand. The Warriors continued to battle from there, but the lead proved to be too much. 

Mardela returns to the court Tuesday when they travel to North Caroline while WiHi hits the court Tuesday at Saint Michaels.
