Weapons Used In Sussex Co. Courthouse Prank

2 Sussex Co. attorneys and a court house bailiff are suspended from their jobs after a courthouse prank.

suspended from their jobs tonight and now an internal investigation is underway — for what appears to be a series of pranks taken a little too far. sources close to the sussex county courthouse tell 47 abc — the alleged antics have been going on for some time — involving state prosecutors in the felony trial unit… but the incident — which took the jokes to a serious level — apparently started with prosecutor adam gelof. it appears he asked the courthouse’s chief bailiff — delbert garrison — to point his service weapon at a deputy attorney general — who has not been named. georgetown defense attorney john brady tells 47 abc — he has never seen a courthouse prank escalate to weapons use in his 20 years in practicing law. a spokesman for the department of justice tells 47 abc — quote — “if a criminal charge is filed, that will be made public. the department of justice will not comment further because it is a personnel issue” — end quote.
