UPDATE: Troopers conducting death investigation in Townsend

Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation after an 18-year-old was found dead in Townsend.

Delaware State Police say troopers were called to the 600 block of Marilyn Court in Townsend around 12:30 a.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired. When troopers arrived, they found 18-year-old Dayshon M. Wallace of Wilmington who was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Police said his body would be turned over to the medical examiner’s office to determine his cause and manner of death.
