UPDATE: Second suspect arrested in Bubba’s Club shooting

Police in Dover say after a nearly two week search, they have arrested a second suspect in a shooting that happened at a local night club. Dover Police say on Friday, they arrested 21-year-old Agmere Matthews, in connection to the early morning February 8th shooting that happened at Bubba’s Night Club on North Dupont Highway.

On that date, Officers responded to Bubba’s where there had apparently been an altercation, ending with gunshots, while the club was closing for the night. According to the report, Naquan Ingram and Agmere Matthews, got into a fight with a man, who was eventually able to get away, and attempted to flee in a vehicle with his girlfriend. Police say while the vehicle was leaving, Ingram and Matthews pulled out handguns, and fired at the car, hitting it several times.

The shot apparently missed the victims inside. That night, Police say they caught up with Ingram, and arrested him. He was charged, and ordered to be held at the James T. Vaughn Correction Center. Police were still looking for Matthews, until he was arrested on Friday by Dover Police Department SAFE Streets Unit, the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force, and The US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force.

He has now been charged with assault 3rd degree, criminal mischief, 2 counts of reckless endangering, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Details on Matthew’s arraignment were not immediately available.
