UPDATE: Salisbury man sentenced to 60 years for lighter fluid incident

A Salisbury man will spend the next 60 years behind bars, after dousing an apartment building in lighter fluid.
On Friday, 35-year-old Brandon Jackson, was sentenced to 60 years in the Division of Corrections, after being convicted of four counts of attempted 1st degree murder, 12 counts of attempted 1st degree arson, and other related offenses.
The charges stem from a May 3rd incident, where Jackson, got into a fight with a resident at an apartment building on Fairground Drive in Salisbury, around midnight, and left the area. Around 2:00 AM, Jackson returned to building 1018 with lighter fluid, and spayed the fluid throughout the entire inside of the building, along with the front walkway.
Jackson covered each individual door, doormat, and stairwell in the building as well. Police arrived on scene just as Jackson was trying to light the end of the trail of lighter fluid. Jackson was not a resident of the building. He may also be facing a sentence from a violation of probation, from Baltimore City.
