Traffic stop in Dover uncovers 78 bags of heroin in pocket stash

Dover Police say a traffic stop on Saulsbury Road lead to the arrest of one Dover man found with allegedly 78 bags of heroin in his pocket.

The incident reportedly happened last Thursday at about 8:20 PM. Investigators say they conducted a traffic stop on Saulsbury Road north of Forrest Avenue in Dover. After searching the occupants of the vehicle police discovered 78 bags of heroin in the pocket of 30-year-old Marshall Rivers.

Rivers was arrested and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna. He is being held on a $15,500 secured bond and an additional $5,000 cash bond.

He is being charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin amongst a number other charges.
