Three suspects arrested following drug investigation in Del.
State police have arrested three suspects after an investigation involving illegal drug sales from homes in Frankford and Georgetown.
Authorities reportedly conducted home searches in the unit block of Reed Street in Frankford and the Dunbarton Oaks Apartments in Georgetown on Friday, after learning 37-year-old Antonio Jones and 40-year-old Darrell Dixon were allegedly conducting illegal drug sales from the homes.
Police say Jones and his girlfriend Patricia Ayers, 40, were located following a traffic stop on Zion Church Road in Frankford. 195 grams of powder cocaine, 313 grams of crack cocaine, over two pounds of marijuana, and over $26,000.00 in cash were reportedly recovered from their Reed Street home.
Dixon was located and detained following a traffic stop on DuPont Boulevard in Georgetown. After a search, authorities say Dixon had 8.2 grams of powder cocaine in possession. Police say they later found a 7.62 SKS semi-automatic rifle in Dixon’s home at the Dunbarton Apartments.
Jones and Ayers were both arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 5 Quantity, 2 counts of Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 4 Quantity, Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 1 Quantity, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jones has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $255,400 cash bail. Ayers has been committed to the Delores Baylor Correctional Institution for lack of $255,400 cash bail.
Dixon was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity, and 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $31,000 cash bail.
