Sussex Central Girls Basketball Take Georgetown Crown

The Sussex Central girls basketball overcame a slow start to blow out Sussex Tech 70-37. The win improves the Golden Knights to 11-3, while the loss drops the Ravens to 5-9. 

Both teams would exchange buckets the first half. The Golden Knights would knock down 3 long balls in the first half to grab a 15-10 lead. The Ravens would come fighting back in the second quarter though led by Davis who would score Rukiya Davis who would score an and 1 followed by a long ball to get her team within 2. But the Golden Knights would explode the second half to put the game away. Jada Smack and Taylor Prichett would find the touch from the outside as well as score out in the open court to open up the game. Prichett finished with 29 points while Smack added 19.

Sussex Central returns to the court Tuesday when they host Indian River, while Sussex Tech returns to action Monday when they travel to St. Thomas More.
