SU Men’s Lacrosse Roll In Season Opener

The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team passed their seasons first test with flying colors as they defeated Greensboro 24-1. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 1-0 on the year.

SU wasted little time before going to work, scoring just over 2  minutes into the first quarter. Then after neither team would be able to find the back of the net for the next few minutes, the Sea Gulls would exploded offensively to close out the quarter, scoring 4 more goals in a 3 1/2 minutes span. They would go on to add 6 more goals in the second period to open up a 11-0 lead at the break. SU would then put the game away in the 3rd, scoring 9 more goals there to end it. Mike Kane led the way offensively, finishing with 4 goals and 3 assists, while Chris Joyce found the back of the net 6 times and James Burton added two scores and an assist.

Salisbury University returns to action next Saturday when they travel to play at Lynchburg.
