some wrestling high lights. that’s the right attitude. ya know we talk a lot about basketball, but the wrestling season is really starting to pick up as well.. just a couple weeks out from the bayside championships now.. and teams are starting to feel it. bennett rolled out the mats this afternoon as they looked to pick up another duel meet win when they took on decatur. here in the 128’s we got seahawks alden nichols taking on shamus ben. this one didn’t take too long.. first set and nichols goes right to work, getting the pin. on to the 152’s, where we got decatur’s riley elgin up against bennett’s aaron hooks. seahawks still looking good here, as elgin gets the match winning pin in the 1st set. then in the 220’s, we got decatur’s jose robles going against bennett’s luke hastings. robles gets the half nelson, works his hips around and would get the pin here in the 2nd set. they are still going at it, so we will have a final for you here later tonight. as for what you can look forward to seeing tonight… we’ll pretty quiet night really. milford is back in action when they host st. marks. parkside’s at home as well… they got crisfield tonight. we’ll be at both of those, plus a couple other games, so be sure to tune in later tonight to catch those highlights in case you missed it last night, the free fall continuesfor the wizards as they fell on the road to the hornets, 94-87 that makes 5 straight now, and 7 of their last 9. meanwhile, the cavs are on a 12 game win streak, and in the process have passed up washington in the standings. on top of that, they are in danger of falling to the 5th seed as they are only up a 1/2 a game now on chicago. as for the sixers… they hit the court tonight when they travel to play the celtics. philly, comin in hot! they’ve won 3 of their last 5, and it has a lot to do with the way michael carter-williams has been playing. my man has been ballin lately.. 3 double-doubles in that time, including a triple-double against minnesota tip off here is set for 7:30 ans now it’s time for your play of the day. for this one we head over to the farmers insurance open. 2nd shot par 4, 4th…… and you can go ahead and put me down 2! sinks the eagles form 160 yards out… took some time off, but the iron game, still strong! speaking of plays of the day… there is a good chance i’ll be on there this sunday. that’s cuase laurel’s coaching staff over there, challenged 47abc to compete against their alumni team… so it’s about to go down. 3pm, at laurel high school, everyone is going to want to be there. that’s it for sports. keep it right here — you’re watching 47 abc – delmarva’s trust source for news.
