Shop Maryland Energy

Comptroller Peter Franchot is reminding Marylanders to take advantage of Shop Maryland Energy.

Starting Saturday through Monday select energy star products will be tax free. This includes items like air conditioners, washers and dryers, furnaces, heat pumps and many other similar items.

This is the sixth year of the annual tax free weekend. Comptroller Franchot believes it’s a great time for Marylanders to make qualifying purchases without paying the state’s six percent sales tax.
