North Dorchester Victorious On Senior Night, Top Rival Cambridge

The North Dorchester Eagles got a big win on senior night, topping their county rivals, the Cambridge South Dorchester Eagles 58-50 on Thursday night.

The Vikings came out strong, getting great, even production from their starters. Freshman Naail Thompson and backcourt mate Koby Jones scored 5 points a piece in the first, sending Cambridge into the second quarter with a 15-10 lead.

In the second half, North Dorchester would begin to dominate. Senior DaJon Pittman scored 7 points in the frame, and would go into the locker room with 12 points, pushing his Eagles to a three (29-26) point lead. Cambridge would come right back in the third to tie the game up at 42.

The fourth was all Eagles. DaQuan Johnson scored 7 of his game-high 19 in the final eight minutes to give the Eagles the win.

The win is the senior class’ first varsity win over their rival.
