Milford man charged in sexual assault of a minor

Milford Police say they have arrested a 28-year-old Milford man for allegedly sexually assaulting a victim less than 13-years-old.

Reports say the incident happened on Sunday, February 15th at a residence at Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Detectives discovered that 28-year-old Kevin Smith, of Milford had apparently sexually assaulted the under aged victim at the residence and was trying to start an intimate relationship with the victim.

Smith is being charged with one count of unlawful sexual contact and is being held on a $10,000 secured bond.
