Lincoln man charged after leaving ID behind at chase scene

A Lincoln man was arrested, after he reportedly fled from Police, but left his identification behind.

Harrington Police say on Friday around 5:45 PM, an Officer on patrol tried to stop a vehicle on Milford-Harrington Highway, for a traffic violation. According to the report, after the Officer turned on his lights, the suspect vehicle kept driving, leading Officers on a pursuit through several Harrington and Houston roads.

Police say as the vehicle made its way to Tea Town Road, near Deep Grass Lane, the driver bailed, and fled the scene on foot. Officers were apparently unable to locate the suspect, but searched the vehicle and reportedly found an identification card for 24-year-old Jermain Boyd.

Warrants were then reportedly filed, and on Thursday, Boyd apparently turned herself into Harrington Police Department.

Boyd was charged with disregarding a police officers signal, resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving without a license, and several other traffic offenses. He was arraigned, and released on unsecured bond.
