Lewes man arrested following two-vehicle crash

A Lewes man was arrested following a two-vehicle crash that landed two people in the hospital.
According to state police, the crash happened on Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m. Jeffrey Dorsey, 31, was traveling westbound on John J. Williams Highway near the Holly Lake Campground in Millsboro. Police tell 47 ABC, Dorsey crossed the double yellow line and entered into the eastbound lanes of Rt. 24 where his vehicle nearly struck another vehicle. When he re-entered the westbound lane, Dorsey then struck the rear of a 2004 Jeep Liberty which was driven by Georgetown man Brandon Munoz-Cedillo, 21, causing the Jeep to overturn.
Munoz-Cedillo, as well as a 22 year old Millsboro male passenger, were both transported to Beebe Healthcare where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Dorsey was not injured in the crash.
He was arrested by troopers and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, two counts of Vehicular Assault 3rd Degree, and assorted other offenses. Police say he was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $2262.00 bail.
