Lee Takes Over As Eagles Soar Past Riders
Smyrna avenged an early season loss Friday night, defeating Caesar Rodney 50-46 in Camden.
Latrelle Lee scored 10 of his game-high 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Eagles.
In a close game all night, CR would lead 35-33 after three straight baskets scored baskets by senior forward Kashown Davis.
In the fourth, Lee began to make his presence felt. The senior guard scored 8 straight points for Smyrna, and Javier Worthy burried a clutch three from the right elbow to give the Eagles a 5 point lead, and one that they wouldn’t relinquish.
Smyrna travels to take on Sussex a Tech Tuesday, Feb. 17th, while CR hosts Woodbridge on the same night
