Lady Gulls Use Second Half Surge To Down Wolverines

After being tied 25-25 after the first 20 minutes, the No. 17 ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls women’s basketball team used a dominating second half performance to blow past Wesley 61-43. 

Lauren Rothfeld scored a career-high 17 points, while Julia McLaughlin added 11 points, and 11 boards. Salisbury (21-1, 15-0) outscored Wesley 36-18 in the second half. The game was a sloppy one for both, with the teams combining for 45 total turnovers. Alexis Stroud led Wesley once again, scoring 19 points, off the bench, while starting forward netted 9 points, and pulled down 16 rebounds.

Salisbury hosts Frostburg on Saturday, February 14th at 1 p.m, while Wesley travels to St. Mary’s for a 2 p.m. tip off on the same day.
