Hurlock home search lands one behind bars

A Hurlock man is behind bars, after law enforcement reportedly found coke and crack inside of his home.

On February 13th, both the Easton and Hurlock Police Departments assisted the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office with the search of a Russell Road home, in Hurlock. Authorities were reportedly looking into the illegal trafficking of drugs in the County. At the home, Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested 48-year-old Sterling Dotson Sr..

During the search, investigators reportedly found 53.3 grams of powder cocaine, 10.2 grams of crack cocaine, 13.1 grams of marijuana, electronic scales, and $565 in cash. Dotson was then charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

He is currently being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on $300,000 bond. The investigation is reportedly still on-going at this time.
