Fire crews respond to Somerset Co. house fire

A house on Petes Hill Road in Princess Anne was destroyed due to a fire on Monday.

The reported fire began shortly before noon on Monday. We’re told multiple units from Princess Anne Fire Department, Fruitland, Crisfield, and Mt. Vernon were on the scene.

Authorities did not confirm how many residents live in the home, but witnesses on the scene say three people live in the house. 47 ABC has learned one Princess Anne firefighter was hurt, and transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. None of the residents are believed to be injured.

The state fire marshal’s office was called to the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
