Dragons Surge In Second Half To Down Royals
The Salisbury School boy’s basketball team hosted Delmarva Christian Friday night, and used a 33-point second half to take a 58-49 victory. The Dragons improve to 5-15 for the season.
In a game that remained close for a bulk of the game, The Salisbury School pulled away in the fourth quarter. Led by Bendi Papp with his game-high 20 points, the Dragons took a one-point lead into the half after a buzzer beater, 25-24. Riding that momentum into the second half, Papp knocked in two more three-pointers of his four for the game, while Jack Conway dropped in 13 of his 19 of the game in the final two quarters.
The Royals were paced by Matt Dykstra’s 17 points, while Parker Giltner chipped in for 13.
The Dragons travel to Gunston Day School on Monday for their next game at 5:30, while Delmarva Christian heads home to host the Conrad School on Saturday at 2:30.
