Delaware State Men Take Down UMES On Homecoming

The Delaware State University men’s basketball team got their sixth MEAC win of the season knocking off UMES 91-85, in front of a packed homecoming crowd at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center in Princess Anne.

The Hornets (12-13, 6-4) never trailed in the game, and got 22 points and 5 assists from guard Kendal Williams. Williams went 6-10 from the field, including 4-7 from distance in just 22 minutes of action. Amere May pitched in with 20 points and three steals in the win. For UMES, Michael Myers scored a game-high 23 points, and pulled down 9 rebounds, shooting 9-11 from the field. Freshman sharpshooter Ryan Andino added 18 points, all of them coming from behind the arc, going 6-10 from three.

Delaware State is back in action on Monday, when they host Coppin State University, while UMES hosts Howard the same night.
