Del. calls crews in to treat roads during winter storm
The Delaware Department of Transportation is calling in all of its road crews to help treat roads across the state in the midst of a winter storm.
State officials say crews have been pre-treating roads where needed and positioning plows to handle snow accumulation. The cold ground temperature is allowing snow to stick faster across the region.
The National Weather Service says 4 to 6 inches of snow could accumulate, followed by ice. A winter storm warning is in effect until 1 a.m. Sunday.
Delaware officials say drivers should expect slick roads and bridges Saturday afternoon and evening.
