Cape May Lewes Ferry suspends services due to ice

The Cape May/Lewes Ferry has cancelled operations for the next several departures, due to ice.

Officials with the CMFL say because of significant ice accumulations in the Cape May canal, and Delaware Bay, they will be suspending service for the rest of Thursday, into Friday morning. Crews will reportedly re-evaluate on Friday morning, but remind travelers that more departures may be affected.

The following departures will not operate on Thursday, February 19, 2015:
                              Cape May, NJ                                   Lewes, DE
                              11:00 a.m.                                         12:45 p.m.
                              6:00 p.m.                                           7:45 p.m.

The following departures will not operate Friday morning:
                              Cape May, NJ                                   Lewes, DE
                              7:30 a.m.                                           9:15 a.m.
